WE ARE OPEN FOR BUSINESS!!

So this is it!! Another year of the fabulous Edinburgh Fringe Festival with everything you could want from the world of Theatre, Comedy, Music, Dance and The Arts.

Here at Review Hero we aim to offer independent reviews for the shows that you may miss without our expert input. Reviewers with real Edinburgh Fringe experience will guide you through the best (and the worst!!) the festival has to offer and help you to sort the wheat from the chaff!

We hope you enjoy the reviews and that you will post comments in agreement or otherwise or even suggest shows which we may wish to review, things that may have slipped through the net or things you think are soooo great that they need to be reviewed as a matter of urgency.

Feel free to email us at edinburghreviewhero@hotmail.co.uk and we will endeavour to get to the shows you think deserve to be viewed by the people who know!! Every show suggested for reviews will be entered into a draw for two tickets to a show of your choice!!

TERRITORY (Theatre) 9/10

Pleasance Courtyard 4th-30th August

Well, what a start, this is a cracking little piece loosely based around the tricky subject of knife crime and young delinquency. The script moves at break neck speed as we are thrown about on a rollercoaster of emotions seen through a group of friends' one night camping trip in the local woods. Set in Manchester the chracters are engaging and realistic and the dreams of youth and the barriers faced by those in deprived areas is explored with humour and gravitas.

A crackling atmosphere and witty dialogue belies the feeling that the night is due to end in tears for our gang of mates and that end, whilst not wishing to spoil the show, really does leave the audience in no doubt as to the severity of the play's subject matter.

A fabulous cast with a stand out performance from Matthew Landers, this should not be missed and is worthy of the score 9/10

HANS TEEUWEN 6/10

Pleasance Courtyard

Having read a Guardian review of Hans it looked as though I would be in for a real treat going to this show. The comedy however was a little wearing and far too surreal for a full show although in parts I have to admit it was laugh out loud funny. Hans is definately my favourite Dutch comic and my 5 time laugh out loud fits is not a bad return when comapred to some of his more famous contemparies. If you love surreal you will love Hans but definately be ready for something off the wall. 6/10
